- Four nations agree on roadmap to mend Turkey-Syria ties
Turkey, Syria, Iran and Russia agreed on Wednesday to set up a roadmap to improve relations between Damascus and Ankara after more than a decade of strained ties between the two neighbors. The foreign ministers of the four countries agreed to task their deputies with putting together the roadmap, in coordination with the defense ministers and security services of the four countries, a joint statement said.
- Conditions ripe for Turkey-Syria reconciliation
The trilateral meeting of foreign ministers from Iran, Turkey, and Russia in Moscow aimed at resolving the Syrian-Turkish conflict is a significant development in West Asia. The objective is to provide regional security and prevent the presence of transregional countries. Several positive developments pertaining to the meeting have recently unfolded in the region including the Riyadh-Tehran rapprochement, the normalization of ties between Saudi Arabia and Syria, the return of Syria to the Arab League, the four-way meeting in Moscow, and the concern and anger of the US and Israel over these events.
- Iran’s monthly non-oil exports to neighboring countries up 7%
A spokesman for Iran’s Chamber of Industry, Mine and Trade said Iran’s non-oil exports to neighboring countries have risen seven percent in the first Iranian calendar month, compared to the same period last year. Rouhollah Latifi said that more than ten million tons of goods, worth $3.64 billion, were exported, while nearly 1.83 million tons, worth $1.87 billion, were imported from 15 neighboring countries in the same period, according to IRNA.

- A big step forward
After years of tensions, the foreign ministers of Turkey and Syria sat at the same table to discuss ways to de-escalate tensions with help from Iran and Russia. On Wednesday, the Russian capital Moscow hosted an important quadrilateral meeting between Iran, Syria, Russia, and Turkey at the level of foreign ministers. The meeting is a giant step forward in terms of putting an end to differences between Turkey and Syria, which have been at loggerheads over the last decade.

The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps has inaugurated an airbase in the city of Zahedan, Sistan and Balouchestan Province, to improve the drone and helicopter fleet in the southeast of the country. In a statement on Wednesday, the public relations of the IRGC announced that the airbase was inaugurated in the presence of the IRGC first-in-command Major General Hossein Salami.

The foreign ministers of Turkey, Syria, Russia and Iran met in Moscow on Wednesday, in the highest-level negotiations so far on rebuilding ties between Ankara and Damascus after years of animosity during the war on Syria.
