Raisi made the remarks in an address to a ceremony in Tehran on Monday on the occasion of World Red Cross and Red Crescent Day.
He said that the presence of IRCS members in Turkey and Syria proved that organization is ready to deliver services wherever it is needed, .
Further, he dismissed claims that the IRCS has any political, geographical and religious affiliation.
Then, the president hailed services delivered by the IRCS staff during the coronavirus pandemic in Iran.
The IRCS received the Henry Davison Award, a prestigious humanitarian prize, last year.
President of the IRCS Pir-Hossein Kolivand received the award on behalf of the organization during the 2022 Geneva meetings of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) and the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC).
