Abbas Golroo, a member of the Majlis (Parliament) National Security and Foreign Policy Committee, made the remarks in an interview with the IRNA on Wednesday.
Golroo said the visit and signing of the various agreements will strengthen Tehran-Damascus ties and will boost the Resistance Front against the Zionist regime of Israel.
Iran-Syria political and economic relations are now at their best, the lawmaker underlined.
President Raisi will travel to Syria for a two-day visit on Wednesday. It will be the first visit by an Iranian president to Syria in 12 years.
That comes as Syria is celebrating the end of a 12-year war against foreign-backed militants that inflicted huge losses on the Arab country.
