Referring to the good level of ties between Iran and Syria over the past four decades, Hassan Hanizadeh told IRNA on Tuesday that President Raisi’s planned visit to Syria would lead to an increase in trade relations with the Arab country.
Hanizadeh pointed out that several trade agreements will be signed between the two countries during Raisi's visits Syria, adding that the Arab country could become a good market for Iranian goods.
In addition, the travel of Iranian pilgrims to visit holy sites in Syria will increase after President Raisi's visit to the country, he further noted.
Hanizadeh emphasized that Syria, with the help of Iran, Russia, and Lebanon's Hezbollah, was able to overcome a 12-year crisis and to change the situation in favor of the regional axis of resistance.
He reiterated that an agreement reached in Beijing in early March between Iran and Saudi Arabia to resume their relations has led to an increase in regional convergence.
