Hamas spokesman Mohammad Hamada said on Tuesday that the shooting by a young Palestinian man in Oyoun al-Haramiya was a “heroic” operation and a “natural reaction” to the Zionist regime’s aggression against Palestinians.
“This heroic operation is the natural result of the anger the Palestinian people feel over the crimes of the occupying regime,” he pointed out.
On Tuesday morning, a group of Zionist settlers were targeted in a shooting attack north of Ramallah. A 28-year-old settler was injured and taken to hospital. Subsequently, the Israeli occupation forces set up checkpoints around Ramallah, blocking roads leading to and from the city.
The Hamas spokesman said the Oyoun al-Haramiya shooting will not be the last operation targeting Zionist forces and settlers.
“As long as the occupation regime of Israel continues to occupy their land, our people will impose a lot of pain and suffering on them,” Hamada added.
