Speaking to IRNA, Nourizadeh said on Monday that one of the goals of the Belarusian ambassador on this visit to Sarakhs SEZ was to evaluate transit activities and goods transshipment facilities in the region.
Nourizadeh added that since Belarus has significant capabilities in the field of agricultural equipment and tractor manufacturing, joint activity in Sarakhs SEZ can facilitate the attraction of investment into the region.
Stating that Belarus is also under sanctions like Iran, he said that involvement of Belarus in projects in Sarakhs would not cause any difficulties with regards to Western sanctions.
With an area of 5,290 hectares, Sarakhs SEZ is located on the northeastern Iranian border with Turkmenistan.
