Amirabdollahian in the phone talk initially felicitated the Fitr Eid, marking the end of the fasting month of Ramadan to his Jordanian counterpart.
The two sides exchanged viewpoints on issues of mutual interest in bilateral ties, regional and international issues.
He referred to his recent visit to Amman and his meeting with the Jordanian king while voicing Iran's readiness for expansion of comprehensive ties and cooperation with that country.
The Iranian top diplomat also appreciated Jordan's full support for the Palestinian people and the sacred Islamic sites in occupied Palestine, especially the occupied Holy Quds and Al Aqsa Mosque, reiterating, "The apartheid Zionist regime is the greatest security threat for the entire region, and especially for the Islamic Ummah (nation)."
Amirabdollahian also emphasized the need for Islamic unity and solidarity, severing the hand of the racist Zionists from the Al Aqsa Mosque and the occupied Holy Quds, and materializing the full rights of the oppressed Palestinian nation.
Jordan Foreign Minster Ayman Al Safadi, too, in the phone talk felicitated the Fitr Eid to the Iranian government and nation, announcing Amman government's readiness for expansion of comprehensive ties and cooperation with Tehran.
"Iran is an important country in the region, and expansion of relations with Iran is of great importance for Jordan," added the Jordanian foreign minister.
Ayman Al Safadi also congratulated the restoration of Iran-Saudi relations, saying that it was a major political development.
He said that defending the rights of the Palestinian nation has always been a priority for Amman, that also supports the restoration of peace and stability in the region and the holy sites, such as the Al Aqsa Mosque and the occupied Holy Quds, which necessitates countering the aggressive acts of the Zionists.
The two foreign ministers also asked each other to felicitate the Fitr Eid to the leaders of the two countries.
