Elaborating on the process of production of petcoke in this oil refining company, Hashem Namvar Haqiqi said on Sunday evening that Iran is the seventh country to have developed a technology for manufacturing petroleum coke, aka sponge coke.
The plan to produce petroleum coke is a part of the three-phase project to enhance the quality of the product of the BAOR, the official said, adding that each phase of the plan is being implemented separately.
He went on to say that 2.2 million euros have been allocated for implementation of the plan.
According to the industrial official, the plan has created 8,000 direct job opportunities since the beginning of its construction and when launched, it will employ over 2,500 individuals.
