It added, however, that Tuesday’s rains will be limited to the two provinces of West Azarbaijan and Kordestan.
Meanwhile, the head of the Road Management and Road Transport Organization’s crisis management department said road management teams were dispatched to the provinces for which floods have been forecasted.
The rains will cause flash floods in canals and seasonal rivers, blockage of rural roads, and disruption of roads, Gholam Abbas Bahraminia explained.
Bahraminia also advised people in high-risk areas not to travel to open countryside, to avoid mountaineering, and to stay clear of river beds, banks, and canals.
