Armen Grigorian, Secretary of Armenia’s National Security Council, who arrived in Tehran on Sunday, met with Admiral Ali Shamkhani, the special representative of Iran’s Leader and the Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council.
The two discussed bilateral and regional issues.
During the meeting, Admiral Shamkhani referred to the historical relations between the two countries and the cultural links between the two nations of Iran and Armenia, saying, “Stability in the political and economic relations of the two countries is one of the important features of the friendly relations between Tehran and Yerevan.”

Iran raised its electricity production capacity by 6.1 gigawatts (GW) in the calendar year to late March amid efforts to respond to a rising demand for power in the in the country’s household and manufacturing sectors.
Head of Iranian Energy Ministry’s department for electricity Homayoun Haeri said that Iran had launched 4,150 GW of new power plants over the past calendar year.

Chinese imports of Iranian oil surged by 20% in March, according to recent data. The increase is mainly due to private refineries based in Shandong Province buying 800,000 barrels of Iranian crude oil daily. This figure represents a 20% rise from the previous month’s sales figures, suggesting a favorable outlook towards Iran.
China’s private refineries are increasingly purchasing Iranian crude oil amidst intensifying competition between Chinese and Indian state-owned oil refineries over Russian oil refineries. Iran has been successful in bypassing U.S. sanctions imposed on its oil industry, with its crude oil exports increasing significantly over the past two years.

-- Iran Has Potential to Export $5bn Worth of Decorative Stones Annually, Official Says
The head of the Iran Stone Association Bahram Shakouri on Monday said that the country has a high potential to export $5 billion worth of decorative stones per annum.
Speaking on the sidelines of the signing ceremony of a cooperation agreement between the Iran Stone Association and the Iran Engineering Council in Tehran , Shakouri put the number of mining and mineral units for processing decorative stones in the country at more than 6,000, adding that they have generated employment opportunities for about 600,000 job-seeking people.

Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi says Muslim nations should strengthen cooperation and form a united front against the occupying regime of Israel to support the Palestinian people.
“Iran and Algeria have close and common positions on regional and global issues, especially on the issue of Palestine and the rights of the oppressed people of this country,” Raisi said in a phone conversation with Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune.
-- Iranian Delegation to Visit Saudi Arabia Soon
Foreign Ministry spokesperson Nasser Kanaani said here Monday an Iranian delegation will soon visit Saudi Arabia to pave the way for the reopening of diplomatic missions between the two countries, adding that talks were also underway with Bahrain.
In his weekly presser, Kanaani confirmed that a Saudi delegation visited Tehran on Saturday and that a Saudi team would soon be dispatched to Riyadh in order to restore diplomatic ties, in line with a China-brokered deal. A Saudi delegation arrived in Iran on Saturday to discuss the reopening of diplomatic missions, two days after a landmark meeting in between their foreign ministers in Beijing.

Iranian artist Hassan Ruholamin has commemorated the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Ali (AS) with his new canvas entitled “The Candle of Bayt al-Mal”. The painting, which portrays a story from the Imam’s concern for justice during his caliphate, was unveiled on Ruholamin’s Instagram on Monday, just two days before his martyrdom anniversary.
In his post, Ruholamin wrote that the artwork has been created to commemorate the major event in the history of Islam and dedicated it to his followers.

The mausoleum complex of Sheikh Ahmad-e Jami is a collection of religious buildings, mosques, houses, and tombstones set around the central tombstone of the Iranian Sufi theologian and poet who lived between 1048 and 1141. Located in Torbat-e Jam of the Khorasan region in northeast Iran, the historical ensemble, which draws tens of travelers, researchers, and history buffs each day, has secured patronage from Mongols, Kartids, Tamerlane, and Timurids over time.
According to Archnet, art historian Lisa Golombek has identified ten structures on the site that were built in eight different phases beginning in the early thirteenth century.

An Iranian lawmaker has hailed the restoration of ties between Iran and Saudi Arabia, describing the move as beneficial to the Muslim world.
The lawmaker, Jalil Rahimi Jahan Abadi, who is a member of the Parliament’s National Security and Foreign Policy Committee, said in remarks to IRNA that differences between Iran and Saudi Arabia have been a result of U.S. sowing discord between the two countries.
