The comments came after reports in local media suggested that Iranian security forces had shot down an MAV that was seeking to inflict damage one a facility belonging to the Iranian Defense Ministry in Isfahan.
The reports said the attack that had occurred late on Tuesday failed to inflict any damage on defense facilities.
Earlier on Wednesday, a local official had ruled out the occurrence of any security incident in the province of Isfahan.
Mohammad Reza Jannesari, who serves as deputy for political and security affairs at Isfahan province’s governorate office said no security incident had happened as claimed by media reports.
This is a second time in four months that reports emerge of drone attack on Iranian defense systems in Isfahan.
On January 28, Iran’s Ministry of Defense announced that an attack on a defense industrial complex in Isfahan had been foiled.
