-- Iranians bid farewell to IRGC men fell in Syria
Tens of thousands of mourners poured out onto the streets of Tehran to pay their respects to two military advisers of Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), who lost their lives in an Israeli airstrike near the Syrian capital Damascus last week.
The massive ceremony started in the Iranian capital city on Tuesday morning, with people carrying the coffins of Milad Heidari and Meqdad Mehqani, draped with the Iranian flag, en route from iconic Imam Hussein Square to Shohada Square.
-- Economic views of private sector should be considered in gov’t decisions: Raeisi
No decision on economic affairs should be made without considering the opinion of the private sector, said President Ebrahim Raeisi in a meeting with top Iranian producers and entrepreneurs on Monday evening.
The meeting was also attended by Economy Minister Ehsan Khandouzi, Governor of the Central Bank of Iran Mohammadreza Farzin, Vice President for Executive Affairs Mohsen Mansouri, as well as Rouhollah Dehqani-Firouzabadi, the vice president for science and technology.
-- Iran’s annual gas consumption up 1.25%: NIGC
A senior official at the National Iranian Gas Company (NIGC) said natural gas consumption in the country rose 1.25% in the year to March 20 to reach a total of 242 billion cubic meters (bcm).
NIGC’s head of dispatching operations Mohammadreza Julaei said that consumption by households, businesses and small industries was responsible for 123 bcm of natural gas use in Iran over the past calendar year.

--- Iranian Violinist Ranks First in Japan
Amin Ghaffari from Iran has ranked first at a violin contest held in Japan. The Iranian artist was awarded at the 22nd edition of the “Competition Osaka International Music”. Also, the company named Henle Verlag presented the special award of the competition to the Iranian musician.
He competed with musicians from various counties such as Austria, the U.S., the UK, Turkey, Japan, China, and France. The event is a comprehensive music competition that started in Osaka in 2000.
-- Envoys of Iran, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Syria Hold Meeting in Oman
A quadrilateral meeting of the ambassadors of Iran, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, and Syria in Oman was held in the Iraqi embassy in the Persian Gulf Sultanate on Tuesday, Iraqi local media reported.
The Iraqi ambassador to Oman has reportedly said that during the meeting in Muscat, he and the other three ambassadors discussed the major chances that are awaiting the regional countries in the light of peace.
The meeting takes place less than a month after top security officials from Iran and Saudi Arabia reached an agreement in China to restore relations after seven years.

Chairman of the Chiefs of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces Major General Muhammad Baqeri has said that the current course of developments at regional and global levels indicate that the Zionist regime is nearing its collapse and the global arrogance is losing its power while the Islamic Republic is getting stronger.
Major General Baqeri said, “Last year was a tumultuous juncture during which Iranian Armed Forces took major steps to boost their defensive power and readiness.”

-- Iranian films line up for India children’s festival
Nine films by Iranian directors will be competing in the CMS International Children’s Film Festival, which will take place from April 10 to 18 in Lucknow, India. “Borrowed Parents” by Hossein Qenaat, “Simin” by Morteza Atashzamzam and “Singo” by Alireza Mohammadi-Ruzbahani will be screened in the feature fiction competition.
“Borrowed Parents” is about children and their beautiful relationship with a tree.
-- Transit of goods via Iran stands at 10.8m tons in a year
As announced by the Iranian deputy transport minister, 10.8 million tons of commodities were transited through the country in the past Iranian calendar year 1401 (ended on March 20). Shahriyar Afandizadeh also announced that Iran registered a new record high with the transit of 8.3 million tons of non-oil goods in 1401, adding that 2.5 million tons of oil products were also transited via the country in the previous year.
“Considering the transit of 7.5 million tons of non-oil goods in 1400, we have seen a 10.7-percent growth in the transit of this type of goods in 1401 compared to the previous year”, the official said.
-- Archaeologist elaborates on Iron Age burial chambers
Mostafa Dehpahlavan, an Iranian archaeologist who is credited with having found a wide variety of Iron Age burial chambers, has recently elaborated on discoveries his team made in Tepe Sagz Abad of Qazvin province. The head of the archeological board of the fifth season of the archaeological excavation on the site revealed untold stories of 78 graves associated with four burial methods, ILNA reported on Sunday.
Currently, selections of their discoveries including enclosed or brick burials, simple pits, pits in ashes, and pot burials, have been put on show at the National Museum of Iran, the report said.
