General Directorate of Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism of Fars Province announced on Sunday that the historical and cultural monuments were visited by 801,626 visitors from March 20-25.
Some 218,712 people visited Hafez mausoleum during the period, according to the announcement, and 145,269 people visited Persepolis Palace, followed by Sa’di’s mausoleum with 138,536 visitors.
Fars Province in southwest Iran is home to several historical and cultural sites such as Karim Khan Citadel, Pars Museum, Pasargadae World Heritage Site and many others.
