In the meeting in the presence of the Iranian ambassador to Syria and a former deputy foreign minister Seyyed Abbas Araqchi, the two sides focused on miscellaneous issues, including the international and regional issues of mutual interest, especially in the foreign relations field, as well as the reestablishment of full diplomatic and political relations between Iran and Saudi Arabia.
Kharrazi who is in Syria, heading a political and economic delegation, on the last day of his stay in Damascus met and conferred with the Syrian president on Tuesday evening.
The Iran-Syria relations at strategic level, too, were discussed in the meeting.
Kharrazi referred to the horrendous February 6th earthquake in northern Syrian provinces which inflicted heavy material loses, and loss of many lives and condoled with the Syrian nation and government on the matter.
The Syrian president, too, appreciated the Iranian nation's contributions, as well as in combat against terrorism and other foreign threats.
