Tehran, IRNA – The public assembly of the Gymnastics Federation of the Islamic Republic of Iran has appointed Abed Haghdadi as the new president of the federation.
The appointment came during a vote held on Wednesday in Tehran in the presence of senior sports officials of Iran and a representative from the International Gymnastics Federation.
Haghdadi, Habib Nozohuri and Meghdad Ghalandarpur were the three main candidates vying for the post.
