TURKSTAT figures showed that trade exchanges between Iran and Turkey had reached $494 million in January, a 3% decrease compared with the same month last year.
Turkiye’s export to Iran increased by 11% in January compared to the same month in 2022, reaching some $241 million, showed the figures.
However, Turkiye’s imports from Iran decreased by 14% in January 2023 in comparison to the similar period last year, reaching $253 million.
Iran was Turkey's 18th largest export destination and the 23rd source of imports in the first month of 2023, said the TURKSTAT.
Turkiye-Iran trade had increased by 12 percent in 2022 to reach $6.42 billion dollars.
