Iran sets target to produce 160k tons of shrimp per year

Hossein Hosseini said on Monday that the target will be part of Iran's Seventh Five-year Development Plan which will start in 2025.

Hosseini said Iran has also set a target to reach some 500,000 mt of farmed output from the sea and some 850,000 mt of sea fishing.  

IFSRI figures show Iran farmed some 61,000 mt of shrimp in 950 aquaculture locations in the 11 months to late February this year.
