--Iran’s South Pars Phase 14 to generate $5b annually
Phase 14 of South Pars Gas Field is projected to generate an annual income of approximately $5 billion, Iran’s Industrial Development and Renovation Organization (IDRO) said on Sunday. The $5.2 billion refinery, entirely built by local experts, was brought on line by President Ebrahim Raeisi on Thursday.
The inauguration marks a significant milestone in Iran’s strategy to increase its oil and gas production capacity and improve its infrastructure, despite being subject to US economic sanctions. Hamid Bazargan, an IDRO deputy, said the megaproject has been Iran’s largest domestic construction since the 2018 sanctions targeted the country’s energy sector.

Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA) has reported that the country’s trade with member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation reached 83.18 million tons worth $50.03 billion.
The data show, Iran’s trade with member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, excluding crude oil exports, reached 83.18 million tons worth $50.03 billion during the first 10 months of the current Iranian year (March 21, 2022-Jan. 20), registering a 1.65% and a 20.18% rise in terms of weight and value compared with the corresponding period of last year.

Kermanshah Province’s customs official Mehdi Abbasian has said that a total of 1.83 million tons of goods worth $729.84 million were exported from the Khosravi Border Terminal to neighboring Iraq.
Abbasian said a total of 1.83 million tons of goods worth $729.84 million was exported from Khosravi Border Terminal, located in Kermanshah Province’s Qasr-e Shirin County, to Iraq during the first 11 months of the current Iranian year (Mar. 21, 2022-Feb. 19), registering a 28% and 18% rise in weight and value respectively compared with the similar period of last year.

A calligraphic art exhibition underway at the Hong Kong Central Library highlights cultural exchange between Hong Kong and Iranian artists.
The exhibit entitled “Calligraphic Art: Interaction between Hong Kong and Iranian Artists” is part of the Hong Kong Culture Festival. The exhibition opened at the library’s Gallery 1-5 on February 25 and will run until March 8.
-- Iran’s wheat production rises 28% in 2022: FAO
Wheat production in Iran has increased by 28 percent in 2022, putting the Islamic Republic in 13th place among the world’s top producers of the strategic grain, according to the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO)’s latest Food Outlook report.
Based on the said report, Iranian farmers managed to produce 13 million tons of wheat in 2022, 2.9 million tons more than the figure for the previous year in which the total production stood at 10.1 million tons, IRNA reported.

The currency earnings of needlework could be greater than those of oil, a handicrafts expert has said. If Iranian needlework is taken into consideration, needlework could generate more currency earnings than oil, IRNA quoted Maryam Sammak as saying on Sunday.
With the help of exhibitions held throughout the year in different countries, it is possible to have a high share in global markets in this field, she added.
