Al-Ameri: Presence of anti-Iran forces in Kurdistan against region, Iraq interests

Baghdad, IRNA – Head of Iraq Fatah Parliamentary Coalition referring to the legal prohibition of using Iraq's soil to threaten its neighbors, said anti-Iran parties' presence in the Iraqi Kurdistan region is both against Iraq and against the region's security.

Al-Ameri made the comment in Thursday evening meeting with Iran Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian in a meeting in the presence of Iraq Shia Harmonizing Framework Coalition members.

Amirabdollahian in the meeting expressed delight over the establishment of an all-encompassing coalition government in Iraq and congratulated that success to the Head of Iraq Fatah Parliamentary Coalition Al Ameri and the members of the Iraq Shia Harmonizing Framework Coalition.

The foreign minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran emphasized that Iraq has an important status in regional development and surveyed the latest status of bilateral relations and regional developments of mutual interest.

Amirabdollahian said that a part of security concerns are due to the presence of anti-revolutionary and separatist parties in the Iraqi Kurdistan region, easing those concerns and expansion of bilateral security cooperation are Tehran's priorities.

Hadi Al-Ameri paid respect to the souls of martyrs Soleimani and Al Muhandis, remembering the unique braveries of late Commander Soleimani and Al Muhandis in the establishment of peace and security in the region and in strengthening the two countries' security cooperation.

Iraq Parliament's Deputy Speaker Al Mandelavi, Labor Minister Abu Jaafar Al Asadi and some Parliament members, too, were present in the meeting.
