--Iran produced over 1m cars in 2022: European association
By producing more than one million cars, Iran became the world’s 11th-largest producer of passenger cars in 2022, according to figures by the European Automobile Manufacturers Association.
Overall, more than 68 million passenger cars were manufactured worldwide in 2022, an increase of 7.9 percent from a year earlier (over 63 million), indicated data by the association.

Iran’s minister of economic affairs and finance said that using the rial and yuan can solve challenges facing Iran-China financial transactions and trade.
In his press conference on Tuesday, Ehsan Khandouzi added that Iran and China enjoy strong economic ties. He added that the government is seeking to minimize in-dollar trades with its partners.
-- Iran inaugurates currency, gold exchange center
The Central Bank of Iran’s center for the exchange of currency and gold was officially launched on Tuesday in a ceremony attended by the CBI officials. Establishing exchange rate authority, increasing the volume of official transactions, and facilitating access to foreign currency and gold are among the most important goals of Iran’s foreign currency and gold exchange center, IRNA reported.
Bank Melli Iran plays a pivotal role in the implementation of the new foreign exchange policy, Amir Hamouni, the project manager of the gold and currency exchange center, said in the opening ceremony. “In the first stage, the work will begin with Bank Melli Iran, and later, exchange offices and other banks will also be connected to the system.”

The 7th Fajr International Handicrafts and Traditional Arts Festival titled “Silver Cedar” is being held at the National Museum of Iran. About 70 works from 12 countries and more than 300 works by Iranian artists have been exhibited at the festival.
The festival continues for nine days, from February 15 to 23.

Iraq’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs has renewed his country’s rejection of normalization of relations with the Zionist regime. Fuad Hussein denied reports about normalization of ties with the Zionist regime during a press conference upon his return from Washington.
Hussein also denied that this issue was proposed for discussion during his meetings with senior American officials while he was in the U.S. capital.

-- Finding 84% uranium is natural: nuclear spokesman
Behrouz Kamalvandi, spokesman for the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI), has reacted to Western media reports that uranium enriched up to 84% purity has been found in Iran, saying that finding atomic particles with that purity is natural.
In an interview with Mehr News, Kamalvandi said, “Finding atomic particles with 84% [purity] in the enrichment process is a natural thing. I mean, we may produce 5% and see 11% particles. Or we may produce 20% and see 37% particles.
-- Kurd horse, Sassanid landscape closer to UNESCO tags
Together with Iraq, Iran is completing all-inclusive dossiers for a Sassanid archeological landscape in the western province of Kermanshah as well as the Kurd horse, to have them registered on the UNESCO World Heritage list, Kermanshah’s tourism chief has said.
Considering that these dossiers are multinational in nature, Iran and Iraq have worked together to facilitate the registration of these projects globally separately from Iran’s quota, Daryush Farmani explained on Tuesday.
