Speaking on Tuesday's session of the National Security Commission in which FM Amirabdollahian was also present, Abolfazl Amuie said that the foreign minister had presented a report on the president and his accompanying ministers' visit to Beijing, commenting that since China considers its relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran strategic, it intends to further strengthen its economic ties with Iran.
He said that 19 documents were signed in various fields in Beijing, including agreements on car manufacturing, technology, environment, and cooperation in the nuclear energy field.
The documents signed on that visit are in line with the Iran-Chian 25-year cooperation, a part of which will turn into contracts for Iran-China cooperation, reiterated Amuie.
He said that according to the foreign minister's explanations, the Iranian presidential delegation was received at the highest possible level of protocols in China, which shows Beijing attaches the greatest importance to broadening its relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Amuie said that the other issue discussed with Amirabdollahian in the commission was Iran's nuclear talks with world powers, adding, "The minister of foreign affairs emphasized that the path for continuing the negotiations is still open and messages are being exchanged through mediators."
Amuie added that the Sultan of Oman's visit to Iran, which will be in response to President Ebrahim Raisi's visit to Oman, will be made at the sultan's earliest possible convenient time.
