Iran-China agreements to come on stream in next two months

Tehran, IRNA – The head of the Trade Promotion Organization of Iran has said that most of the country’s agreements with the Chinese side are to be implemented within the next two months.

And its positive effect will be felt in the country’s economy, Ali-Reza Peyman-pak said in an interview with a radio program.

During the interview, the trade official said Iranian and Chinese car-manufacturing companies are working on designing a joint production.

Referring to the recent visit of Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi to China, the official said it took place after months of planning aimed at developing bilateral trade and economic relations.

Promotion of Iran-China economic ties is among the priorities of the Islamic Republic’s 13th government, Peyman-pak announced.

He went on to say that Tehran and Beijing have reached good agreements on the issues of industry, technology, and car production.

He further mentioned tourism, trade, mining, investment, and industrial equipment among other issues of cooperation between the two countries.

Referring to Iran’s great capacities, the official said Iran and China are to develop cooperation in order to export jointly-manufactured products to the regional states.

As the West observes talks and agreements with China, details about mutual agreements will be kept secret till their operational phase starts, he noted.

At the head of the high-ranking delegation, the Iranian president arrived in Beijing at the official invitation of his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping and was welcomed by the Chinese president at the Great Hall of the People there on February 14.
