--Iran to unveil unmanned Qaher fighter jet next year: IAIO
The Iran Aviation Industries Organization (IAIO) announced plans to unveil an unmanned version of homegrown Qaher single-seat stealth fighter aircraft in the next solar calendar year that begins on March 21.
Speaking during a TV program on Saturday night, IAIO chief executive Brigadier General Afshin Khajefard said the aircraft was manufactured at the IAIO and the project was first brought up in the media 10 years ago.

Iran launched a new private airline despite American sanctions targeting the country’s civil aviation sector. Senior government officials from Iran’s Ministry of Tourism attended a ceremony to celebrate the launch of Yazd Air, a private airline which will be based in Yazd, a historic city in central Iran, Press TV reported.
The ceremony came after a first flight by Yazd Air from the capital Tehran landed at Yazd Sadooghi International Airport.

Shahr Bank of Iran claimed the title of the seventh edition of the World Wrestling Clubs Cup. The Iranian team defeated the Russian side Ivan Poddubny 6-4 in the final match. Iran had defeated freestyle wrestling teams from Georgia (10-0) and Kazakhstan (9-1) before the final, while Russia beat India (9-1) and Armenia (9-1).
Also, India beat Kazakhstan 7-3 in the bronze medal match, according to Tehran Times report.

The 39th edition of Iran’s International Quran Competition opened at Tehran’s Islamic Summit Conference Hall on Saturday evening. Fifty-two reciters and memorizers from across the world are participating in the competition, which will run for four days.
Mehdi Khamushi, director of the State Endowment and Charity Affairs Organization, the main organizer of the Quran competition, said that this year’s contest is organized with the motto “One Book, One Ummah”.

–A selection of five ancient qanats in the central province of Yazd is planned to be brought back to life, the provincial tourism chief has said. The projects will be carried out in collaboration with the Municipality of the provincial capital of Yazd, Ahmad Akhundi explained on Sunday.
Moreover, some 400 historical buildings and aging structures in the historical core of Yazd are being restored, the official added.
