The defense minister made the remarks in a ceremony of operationalizing 70 vessels in southern waters of the country on Wednesday, noting that the sustainable security is the most important component of the national might of Iran.
He further said that Iran always seeks peace and stability in the world, but the enemies had been making all-out efforts to bring the establishment to its knees since the victory of the Islamic Revolution; although, they have never reached their goal and they will never succeed in this way.
The foes, who are hopeless in defeating the sacred system of Iran, are resorting to vain pretexts in order to pursue their toppling plot against the Islamic Republic, he argued.
Brigadier General Ashtiani reiterated that the Ministry of Defense and Armed Forces Logistics of Iran has taken major steps in equipping the Iranian armed forces and the operational process of new vessels will bring many achievements in the fight against terrorism and drug trafficking.
The progresses made by the ministry are in light of guidelines of the Supreme Leader, the glorious victory of the Islamic Revolution, as well as innovations made by the Iranian experts, he added.
