On the second night of the shooting of movies of the 41st Fajr International Film Festival, "Colonel Soraya" directed by filmmaker Leili Aaj was displayed at Hoveyze and Africa cinemas in Mashhad, Razavi Khorasan, on Tuesday.
The movie portrays the real life of a mother, whose youth was kidnapped by the Mojahedin-e Khalq Organization (a terrorist group) and sent to Ashraf Camp in Iraq. She has made all-out efforts to liberate her youth from the terrorist group.
Soraya Abdollahi addressed the news conference after the display of the movie at the Hoveyze Cinema Complex. The film shows the four-year-old endeavors of families especially mothers, who held sit-ins behind the doors of the Ashraf Camp to rescue their loved ones.
The Rajavi cult did not allow the parents’ voice to reach their youths, who have been taken hostage in the MKO camp, Abdollahi said.
The director of the film said that she feels very well because the movie could placate the mothers of the kidnapped youths and it shows the challenges and concerns of the families.
