Why is Hamid Nouri absent in Stockholm 8th Court?

Tehran, IRNA - Arrested Iranian citizen in Sweden, Hamid Nouri, is absent in the 8th Stockholm Appeals Court, which is convened based on an MKO complaint, due to disturbance in prisoners transfer system to court.

Atiyeh Nouri, speaking about the 8th session of her father's appeals court on an MKO complaint, said, "The court convened at 9 am, of Tuesday, February 8th, local time. In the first part of the hearing, which took 90 minutes, my father was not present at the court. Just as the previous sessions, since both the accused and the complaint presenter were Persian language speakers, there was an interpreter at the court, but his sound system was cut off, and therefore, only those who were at the court room could hear the interpreter's voice."

Nouri's daughter added that the judge argued that the reason why her father was not present at the appeals court was that the system for transferring the prisoners to the court was disrupted and therefore, he could not be taken to the court, adding that it is not clear how long the process of today's hearing session will take.

Today's session allocated to surveying the records of complainers and witnesses

Atiyeh Nouri said that although her father tries to keep up his good spirit, recently an Eritrean prisoner is added to his previously solitary cell with a psychological disease who turns up the TV sound to maximum level, hits his head at the cell walls, and get engaged in word fights with her father.

"We filed complaints about the matter, but so far to no avail, as they have not changed my father's cell yet," she added.

Iranian citizen Hamid Nouri, a former Iran Judiciary Force employee, had taken a trip to Sweden, but upon arrival at Stockholm Airport the police arrested him and ever since then he had been imprisoned at a solitary cell.
