Addressing reporters in the unveiling ceremony of the production line of stainless-steel sheet in Isfahan, the minister said on Thursday that Iran could reach the seventh rank in terms of steel production in November 2022.
According to the minister, the steel industry in Iran is an advanced industry, which produces more than 30 million tons of steel at national level.
The production of the product is not only helps supply the domestic requirements but also is very lucrative and brings value-added profit for the country, which gives Iran economic authority, he noted.
In a bid to have economic authority in the world, Iran should produce products that a few countries are capable of producing them, he argued.
The production of steel assists the Islamic country to lower the level of dependence to other nations, he said, adding that the steel production can pave the way for achieving economic power at international export arena.
As to the unveiling of production line of stainless-steel sheet at the Mobarakeh Steel Company, the minister said that the move will not only be profitable for the firm but also honorable for the country.
The stainless-steel sheet production line has been designed and implemented in the West Asia and North Africa region for the first time.
