At least 28 people were killed and some 150 people injured after a blast inside a mosque in Pakistan's Peshawar on Monday.
The Iranian Embassy in Islamabad issued a statement condemning the terrorist attack at the Peshawar city mosque and offered condolences to the families of the martyrs.
The statement added that the Embassy of Iran wishes health to the wounded while expressing sympathy for the people and government of Pakistan.
The blast took place during afternoon prayers in the north-western city, near the country's border with Afghanistan.
In the capital, Islamabad Police issued a security high alert and said security at all entry and exit points to the city had been increased.
Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has strongly condemned the attack.
