Foe’s hybrid warfare doomed failed: Iran MP

Tehran, IRNA – Iran’s parliament deputy speaker said that the enemies resorted to hybrid warfare to distort realities in the Islamic Republic, but they failed.

Ali Nikzad said on Sunday that the foes used hybrid warfare in recent months to distort the realities of the Iranian people, but they suffered a heavy failure, so they try to put pressure on Iran by the use of political games.

The Islamic Republic has proved that the establishment is religion-oriented and based on public support without depending on the West or the East, so it is capable of standing against the chaff grandeur of global arrogance, the lawmaker said.

The Iranian people have shown that they are committed to their allegiance to the late Imam Khomeini and Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, he said, noting that the Islamic system is capable of reforming itself under the leadership of the Guardianship of the Islamic Jurist.

On anti-Iran provocations by certain European states, Nikzad warned that Europe should be aware of the fact that playing on the US court will tarnish the reputation of the European Union in the eyes of the world’s nations, advising the Europeans not to sacrifice their interests for the sake of the US.

As to Europe’s attempt to blacklist the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) as a terrorist group, he cautioned that the IRGC is an official force; thus, the act is not of that sort of profanity that Iran avoids responding to.

We wait for the reformation of the stance taken by the Europeans, but if they insist on their behavior, the Islamic Republic would not stay handcuffed and would react to the belligerence, he noted, adding that Europe should remember how they were frightened by the Daesh terrorists, so they should be thankful for the heroic IRGC forces, who defeated the Daesh menace.

Elsewhere in his remarks, the legislator pointed to the recent fatal shooting in Azerbaijan Republic’s embassy in Tehran, noting that the Azerbaijani and Iranian nations enjoy ancient cultural commonalities, adding that the shooting had its roots in a personal motivation, which caused the sad incident.

According to the public relations office of the Judiciary (eadl.ir), immediately after the fatal attack on the embassy at 8:25 local time Friday morning, Tehran Prosecutor Mohammad Shahriari arrives at the place, and the initial probe into the crime showed that the attacker had a personal motive to commit the armed attack.

The attacker said that his wife had gone to the embassy in Tehran in the spring, but she never came back home. The attacker asked the embassy staff for information about his wife, but they did not answer him appropriately, so he decided to assault the diplomatic mission.
