The vice president of the Federation of African Press Agencies (FAAPA) also is the director of Ivory Coast News Agency (AIP) and Ambassador of Ivory Coast to Iran Ouattara Tamakolo met and held talks with Naderi here in Tehran on Monday.
During the meeting, Naderi pointed to IRNA’s high media capacities and news releases in nine foreign languages, adding that the development of relations with West African states can strengthen the ground for the development of Iran's media cooperation with African countries more than ever before.
Referring to the pivotal role of the IRNA and AIP in reflecting the realities of the two countries and presenting the right image to the audiences of both sides, he expressed hope that in the light of the implementation of the mutual media cooperation agreement, bilateral relations would also be expanded.
Naderi described the successful presence of Iranian women in the political, social, cultural, scientific, sports, and artistic fields as a sign of the Islamic Republic's attention to the issue of women and noted that unfortunately, the Western media in recent months, under the pretext of hijab, have reflected an incorrect image of Iran.
Oumou Barry Sana, for her part, underlined that the development of media cooperation between IRNA and AIP reflects a correct picture of the realities of the two states.
Referring to her participation in the First International Congress of the Women of Influence in Tehran, she added that the summit played an effective role in introducing and identifying the capabilities and talents of Iranian women.
She also expressed hope that they will witness the expansion of media cooperation between the two states more than before by implementing the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between IRNA and AIP.
During the meeting, the Ambassador of Ivory Coast to Iran Ouattara Tamakolo expressed his pleasure at attending IRNA and noted that the National News Agency of Ivory Coast will publish a positive reflection and report on the First International Congress of the Women of Influence in Tehran.
Referring to IRNA’s significant role as Iran’s official media, he expressed hope that the two countries' media cooperation would be strengthened.
