The appeal court kicked off at 9:30 local time and it will continue until 16:30 in Stockholm on January 12, while Nouri described the trial as unjust.
The Swedish court sentenced him to life imprisonment based on accusations leveled by the MKO terrorists, who accused him of being involved in their so-called mistreatments when they were imprisoned in Iran.
The appeal court started on Wednesday when he questioned the fairness of the trial and the judge ordered the turn-off of his microphone and sent him out of the courtroom.
Majid Nouri – Hamid Nouri’s son – told IRNA that the court expelled his father from the Wednesday session merely because of his complaint.
Hamid Nouri traveled to Sweden on November 9, 2019, when he was arrested at Stockholm Airport and sent to jail.
In November 2022, Hamid Nouri's son said there are concerns over his father’s health condition because he has suffered torture and solitary confinement for three years.
Reports say that the Swedish judicial system has not observed the initial rights of a human being when it came to the Iranian citizen.
