4th round of negotiations on prosecuting Gen. Soleimani assassination ends in Tehran

Tehran, IRNA – Iranian Judiciary's Deputy Chief for International Affairs and Secretary General of the Islamic Republic of Iran's High Council for Human Rights, Kazem Gharibabadi on Tuesday, declared the end of fourth round of joint judicial committee of Iran and Iraq for probing into the martyrdom case of Iran’s Lt. General Qassem Soleimani in Tehran.

Gharibabadi said here on Tuesday that the fourth round of joint judicial committee of Iran and Iraq for probing into the martyrdom case of Iran’s Lt. General Qassem Soleimani started in Tehran on Monday (January 9).

He added that the  committee convened in Tehran, and judicial delegations from Iran and Iraq discussed a 2020 martyrdom of General Soleimani.  

The two delegations reviewed the implementation of the decisions made during the previous three rounds of committee sessions and exchanged further data about the case. 

The third round of negotiations between the joint committee of the Islamic Republic of Iran and Iraq regarding the investigation of the terrorist attack on Martyr Lieutenant General Qasem Soleimani ended in Baghdad, Iraq, on Wednesday 09 February 2022.

Lt. General Qassem Soleimani, the commander of IRGC Quds Force, was martyred in a US drone attack near Baghdad airport on January 3, 2020.
