Gen. Soleimani 3rd martyrdom anniv. in Belgrade

Tehran, IRNA – On the occasion of the third anniversary of the martyrdom of General Qassem Soleimani and Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis and his comrades, a group of Iranians held gatherings in the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Belgrade, Serbia.

Iranian Ambassador to Serbia Rashid Hassan Pour made remarks addressing the people in the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Belgrade, Serbia.

Referring to the history of this heinous terror and the martyrdom of General Soleimani, Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, and other comrades by the US, Hassan Pour talked about the characteristics and personality of General Soleimani in forming Resistance Front.

Pointing to the historical and immortal role of Martyr General Soleimani in forming the Resistance Front and disrupting equations in the region for the benefit of the nations of the region, he underlined that the US government's act of terrorism for martyring General Soleimani, who had devoted his entire life in fighting against terrorist groups, has been strongly condemned in the world.

Earlier, Iran’s President Ebrahim Raisi said Martyr Soleimani broke US grandeur in the world, President Raisi said, adding that the arrogant powers seek to eliminate the nation’s identity and look forward to depleting young people from identity and injecting their own identity.

Raisi stated that Martyr Soleimani was both an identity-building element and a revivalist of Islamic identity in the region.

Addressing the US and the enemies of the Islamic Revolution, President Raisi underlined that just like General Soleimani who created Resistance in the region, today, the Iranian youth will stand against arrogant powers until the end.

US terrorists assassinated General Soleimani, the commander of the Qods Force of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), and Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, the former commander of Iraq’s Popular Mobilization Units (PMU), along with their companions by targeting their vehicles outside Baghdad International Airport on January 3, 2020, at the direct order from then US President Donald Trump.
