The Al-Hikma issued a statement on the occasion of the martyrdom anniversary of the commanders of victory on Wednesday, noting that the memories of the great martyrs will remind all freedom-lovers of the region and the world of lessons of their true championship and self-sacrifice.
Martyrs Soleimani, al-Muhandis and their companions spent their lives in the holy jihad and confrontation, the statement mentioned.
The martyrdom of the commanders will bring victory for the Iraqi nation and all freedom-seekers in the region and the world, it said, adding that the martyrs taught the lessons of resistance and loyalty.
The United States assassinated commander of the Qods Force of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Lieutenant General Qasem Soleimani and former commander of Iraq’s Popular Mobilization Units (PMU) Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis along with their companions by targeting their vehicles outside Baghdad International Airport on 3 January 2020 at the direct order from US President Donald Trump.
