Tehran, IRNA - The Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) hosted a press conference on the anniversary of the martyrdom of Ayatollah Nimr Baqir al-Nimr, Martyr commanders Haj Qassem Soleimani and Abu-Mahdi al-Muhandes at IRNA premises in Tehran on Sunday.

During a press conference, Bahraini opposition Rashid al-Rashid said that all three were martyred in the way of Islam, the dignity of the Muslim Ummah.

Referring to the Martyrdom of Ayatollah Nimr, he noted that the Saudi regime brutally murdered him, only for the courage to express his views and beliefs.

The deputy secretary general of Bahrain's Islamic Action Society (Al Amal), Sheikh Abdullah Saleh described these high-ranking martyrs as mujahedeen with influential personalities not only in the Muslim world but also in the entire region and underlined that all three martyrs are leaders of the “resistance” and have commonalities.

Stressing the way of life of these martyrs, he highlighted that these people raised the flag of pure Islam, while in the situation that various sects have formed all over the world.

Sheikh Abdullah Al-Daqaq, a prominent Bahraini cleric in the Qom Hawza, underscored that the children of Martyr Ayatollah Nimr are alive and following his path, just as the axis of resistance extended geographically to the martyrs of Soleimani and al-Muhandes.

Elsewhere in his remarks, he said that Martyr Soleimani was a martyr of the Quds and Islam, adding that martyrs Soleimani and al-Muhandes were commanders that formed a school and attracted many followers by becoming a symbol.
