Vahidi made the remarks while speaking to the IRNA on Wednesday in the southeastern Iranian province of Sistan and Baluchestan.
The minister said borders in southeast Iran have created a golden opportunity for swap trade and have allowed the country to meet its import needs and boost its exports.
“Borders of this province should be regarded as an advantage and the government is serious about pursuing border diplomacy with Pakistan and Afghanistan,” Vahidi said.
