Kanaani posted a tweet on the ancient festival that marks the longest night on the Persian year calendar.
In his tweet, the spokesman wished the Iranians a Yalda Night filled with joyfulness, hailing the occasion as one of the cultural and social traditions in Iran, a symbol of respect for family, and an Iranian-Islamic cultural attraction.
Yalda takes place on the night between the last day of the ninth month (Azar) and the first day of the tenth month (Dey) on the Persian calendar.
