The competitions are held in all age groups in Uzbekistan's capital city, Tashkent.
In Sunday matches Iran's Sara Bahmanyar, Fatemeh Saadati, Mobina Heidari, and Leila Borjali in the women's committee, and Ali Meskini and Saleh Abazari in the men's committee won bronze medals.
In Sunday competitions such experienced athletes as Amir Mehdizadeh, Bahman Asgari, and Zabihollah Purshib did not perform as well as expected and were eliminated from the medal-winning group.
Single-committee competitions will be held on Tuesday.
Thus, up to the end of the third day of the competitions, the representatives of Iran karate have won 29 medals: six gold, six silver, and 17 bronze medals.
