Najafi made the remarks in a meeting in Ashgabat with Turkmenistan’s Foreign Minister Raşit Meredow.
During the meeting, which was held on the sidelines of an international conference themed “dialogue; a guarantee for peace”, the Iranian official conveyed an invitation letter of Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian for his Turkmen counterpart to visit Tehran.
Najafi also stressed the foreign policy of the Iranian government under President Ebrahim Raisi for reaching out to neighboring counties.
Turkmenistan’s foreign minister, for his part, condoled with the Iranian side on the passing of former Minister of Road and Urban Development Rostam Qassemi.
He voiced his country’s readiness for the expansion of bilateral relations with Iran.
