Reza Ameri, the head of the Foreign Ministry’s department for affairs of Iranians expatriates, said that the Iranian Embassy in Cuba will issue passports and birth certificates and will offer other consular services to the Iranians in the US and Canada.
He explained that they can easily travel to Cuba to receive the services as multiple flights are established between the Latin American country and the US and Canada.
The official said that extra information is available on the website of the Iranian Embassy in Cuba.
He also said that the Islamic Republic is ready to re-open its consulate in Canada, once the government there agrees on that.
