In an official ceremony of embracing three Iranian and two Venezuelan flight crews, Soltani said on Friday that today is the day of victory of justice on injustice.
The 19 crews of the Venezuelan Emtrasur Cargo Airline were arrested at Buenos Aires Airport, Argentina, on June 6 based on unfounded allegations leveled by the United States and its allies against the Islamic Republic of Iran.
It is not covert for the world public opinion that the US is expert in lying, but reality will always come out, the Iranian ambassador said, noting that this is merely one example of thousands of lies that the US and its allies have been levelling against Iran, Venezuela and other independent states, which is used as a political tool and a pressure leverage.
The airplane left Mexico for Argentina on June 6 with 14 Venezuelan and 5 Iranian flight crew, but Uruguay refused to issue flight permission for the plane two days later; then, the airplane returned to Argentina and has been there so far.
In the first stage, Argentina released 12 crews, who arrived in Venezuela on September 16 and two others were freed on September 30.
A court in Argentina declared that there are not enough documents to prosecute the last five crews; so, they have also been released recently.
Upon arrival at Venezuelan airport, one of the Venezuelan crew expressed satisfaction with the return to their country, showing gratitude to all people, who have tried to pave the way for their freedom after 134 days in custody.
