In a Monday meeting between these two groups, Head of the Iran-China Friendship Association Aaleddin Boroujerdi highlighted the strategic significance of the amicable ties between the two nations, noting that there is no severance of diplomatic relations in thousands of years of ties between China and Iran.
As to China's upper hand in technology, economy and different industries in the world, the Iranian member of parliament underlined the necessity of utilizing the existing capacities and implementing mutual contracts.
Boroujerdi who was the former chairman of the National Security and Foreign Policy Commission of the Iranian Parliament as well as former ambassador to China emphasized the key role of Iran's Parliament as a supervisory entity in following up issues related to bilateral relations.
Ahmad Amirabadi Farahani, chairman of the Iran-China Parliamentary Friendship Group, said that the administration of President Ebrahim Raisi attaches importance to the "Look East" approach, calling for more attention to the expansion of ties with China.
Underscoring the capacities of the Iran-China Parliamentary Friendship Group and its members' experience in relations between the two countries, the legislator noted that members of the group can be appropriate advisors for parliament and the administration when it comes to developing ties between Tehran and Beijing.
