Tehran and Bishkek are considering introducing a visa-free regime for entrepreneurs from both countries, according to the Kyrgyz Economist Information Base (https://economist.kg/).
Referring to the first meeting of the Kyrgyz-Iranian Business Committee at the Chambers of Commerce and Industry (CCI) of the two countries, the Kyrgyz Chamber of Commerce press secretary announced that Iran is ready to create a visa-free scheme for Kyrgyz entrepreneurs for 14 days.
Iran is interested in Kyrgyzstan as a partner in the field of investment, agriculture, engineering, metallurgy, mining, provision of engineering, and technical services, the report added.
It further added that Iran is the only option for Kyrgyzstan to enter the markets of Southeast Asia and Arab countries, as well as Pakistan plus Libya.
Earlier, Senior Deputy Chairman of the Kyrgyz Chamber of Commerce and Industry Roman Kasimov said that the volume of trade with the Islamic Republic of Iran is expected to increase by 2.5 times to above $200 million per year.
Addressing the Kyrgyzstan-Iran Business Forum, Kasimov highlighted that Iran and Kyrgyzstan are planning to increase trade by 2.5 times to $200 million.
He said the two sides are investigating the issue of registering trusted partners.
