In its latest estimation, the World Bank published a report on the accountability and liability of the states around the globe from 2013 to 2021.
The indices of accountability and liability are being used to review the scale of responsibility of the world governments in terms of dealing with people’s demands and paying attention to their duties.
Each government is given marks from -2.5 to +2.5, which can be increased based on the status of the government in terms of accountability.
The international entity announced that the mark of the Raisi administration in 2021 stood at -1.47, indicating an increase in comparison to the mark of the country in the year before.
The marks from 2018 to 2020 decreased consequently in terms of the responsibility of the then administration.
Iran was given a mark of -1.3 in 2017, which shows a decline concerning accountability in comparison to -1.33 in 2018 and -1.39 in 2019 and in 2020 the mark decreased to -1.48.
The descending trend reversed in 2021, and Iran’s mark in the index upgraded to -1.47.
Iran’s international ranking improved in 2021, turning up its ranking from 8.21 from 100 in 2020 to 9.8 in 2021 internationally.
