Representatives of Iran in the tournament gained two golds, one silver, and three bronzes.
Mahmoud Nemani won the gold medal at +84kg after seven victories. Mahdi Khodabakhsi, the other gold winner, had seven victories at -84kg.
Ali Meskini at -60kg won six fights but was defeated against Turkish karateka and gained the silver medal.
Mohammad-Reza Gilanpour and Morteza Nemati snatched bronze medals respectively at -84kg and -67kg.
Finally, Mahsa Afsaneh won a bronze medal in Female Kata.
