President Raisi accompanied by Minister of Education Yousef Noori as well as a number of teachers and pupils rang the opening bell at Shahid Farhad Hossein-Mardi School in Tehran, marking the initiation of the new school year in Iran (from September 24, 2022, to June 21, 2023).
The official opening of the new school year has been started with observing health protocols when Iran is still fighting the COVID-19 pandemic; however, the death toll from the disease declined to 3 in the last 24 hours.

In a short speech, the president said that the government is interested in having extended ties with students, teachers, and even parents of children as well as university students and experts throughout the whole year in order to give importance to education and upbringing.
We want to resolve problems in cooperation with teachers, the ministry of education, and students as well with to improve Iranian education, he noted.
Investment in education will be in favor of the future of the country, so we should experience an increase in efficiency in this sector, the president added.
