Iran's woman para taekwondo team won 4 gold and 2 silver medals to stand at the top of the Asian championships at the end of the competitions in Vietnam on Tuesday.
Maryam Abdollahpour, Mahdiyeh Hosseini, Mahtab Nabavi, and Rayehe Shahab bagged the four gold medals for Iran while Roza Ebrahimi and Romina Chamsoorki grabbed two silver medals.
Iran's men para taekwondo team won 2 gold and 1 bronze medals to stand runner-up in the Asian championships, while Japan ranked first and Uzbekistan stood at third place.
Alireza Bakht and Hamed Haghshenas received two gold medals while Saeed Sadegianpour grabbed a bronze medal.
In total, Iran’s national team won nine medals and was named the Asian Para-Taekwondo Champion.
Uzbekistan finished runner-up while Kazakhstan came in third.
