Ambassador Zoltan Varga Haszonits who was speaking at the mausoleum of the internationally renowned Iranian poet Hafez Shirazi on the occasion of unveiling a memoire in the honor of a Hungarian renowned poet Csokonai Vitéz Mihály said that the ceremony is related to the cultural relations of Iran and Hungary, which have a long history of about two centuries.
The Hungarian ambassador said the sisterhood between Shiraz and Pecs in Hungary was established in the year 2016, but these two beautiful cities sisterhood must not be limited to the ongoing ceremony, as the cultural exchanges between the Iranian and Hungarian nations must continue for good.
He said that Csokonai is a poet who has composed in memory of Hafez, and in his poetry he has also like Hafez focused on love and meaning of life.
The Managing Director of Iran Historical Monuments Preservation and Renovation Hadi Ahmadi, too, said in the ceremony that the Ministry of Cultural Heritage, too, is determined to use all its potentials aimed at expansion of tourism and cultural relations with all friendly nations, including Hungary.
He said that Hafez poetry is among the most precious heritage of the world literature, and although he has composed in Persian language, the different translations of his poems, too, reflect the alluring magic and beauty of his works.
