The director of the Foreign Ministry’s second bureau for American affairs strongly protested against the restrictions imposed on five Iranian crew members of a Venezuelan cargo plane by Argentina.
The official stressed that the allegations on the Iranian nationals are baseless, also protesting against the long course of investigations on the Argentinian judge into the condition of the Venezuelan plane and its Iranian crew.
The condition of the Venezuelan plane and its Iranian staff workers is completely legal within the framework of international laws and aviation conventions, the Foreign Ministry official added.
He noted that the continuation of the seizure of travel documents and the restriction of their exit from the country is an example of human rights violations.
Noting that the Zionist media have been attributing some unfounded allegations which he said are indicative of the Zionist regime’s hostility towards the Islamic Republic of Iran, the official said that the Iranian government has an inherent duty to defend the basic rights of its nationals and therefore calls upon the Argentinian government to facilitate an immediate lifting of restrictions on the Iranian crew of the Venezuelan plane.
