A trade of 2 million rubles was done as the first exchange in the pair’s record immediately after listing with a ratio of 5,390 rials per ruble.
The listing was done as Russia’s President Vladimir Putin will arrive in Tehran later today for official meetings.
This follows a previous agreement on banking between Iran and Russia reached during a Moscow trip made by the governor of Central Bank of Iran.
